Outside My Window Today!

This is what it looks like outside my window today. I was told in town there was next to no snow. We don't have that much snow, but we have the heavy wet type that packs down. The boys are making snowmen and we had to shovel the driveway, so there is enough snow for that. This is the second or third time this fall we had snow on the "higher elevations" when the towns had none.

October Contrasts: In Like a Lamb - Out Like a Lion!

I interrupt our Florida vacation to share some October pictures. They say we have two seasons here - Summer and Winter. Well that is proving to be true. We have had some "Indian Summer" days (or is that "Native American" Summer now?) but we got our first dose of winter this week.

Here are some pictures taken two weeks ago on our land:

Here are pictures taken this week just after the snow started falling. We did wind up with about 4 inches which isn't that bad, but the valleys (villages) only got rain. So if you drove down our road a mile you no longer saw any snow.

Need I say more?
