Day 4:Discovery Cove (5)

Discovery Cove's main attraction is swimming with dolphins. You spend 30 minutes with a trainer and a dolphin and learn about dolphins. You get to pet the dolphin, feed them, give him a kiss, and swim with him. And yes he was a boy - named Lester. He is around 40 years old. Dolphins live long in captivity.

The whole place was excellent!! It is an all inclusive resort atmosphere. You get excellent meals, all the drinks you want, towels, snacks and more. We all had so much fun here. We even got the video of us with the dolphins - if you want to see it - come on over and we will show you it!!

Day 4:Discovery Cove (4)

Here we are (don't we look wonderful!) with all gear learning to snorkel. You can not swim, kick or splash in the stingray pool, just snorkel. They do come right up to you when you are in the water and do kind of a wave at you - see the photo just below. All Aaron could think of was the crocodile hunter and what happened to him. We talked with the trainers in the water and they trim the barb so they can't sting. I honestly didn't think they would let us swim with something dangerous.

Day 4:Discovery Cove (3)

Discovery Cove has a beautiful and fun aviary. The birds are very friendly and will land on you whether or not you have food. The first time through we swam through the aviary (you can walk in or swim in.) I didn't care for it because they had a waterfall you have swim under and then a strong mist of water - all to discourage the birds from leaving - when you entered and left the aviary.

Day 4:Discovery Cove (2)

OK, we didn't take these. These photos are the stock photos that came on our picture cd with the pictures of us. But you can see how beautiful it was!!

Day 4:Discovery Cove (1)

On day 4 we went to Discovery Cove. When you enter (after getting your picture taken and bags searched) you walk through a garden. Here are random photos of what you see.... (more photos to follow)
